With the increasing popularity of iPods and other mobile technology, more audiences want the option of listening to their content. “When I started Lady Pens I wanted to highlight in one location, the outstanding talent and ideas of the women I had come to know as a marketing and small business coach. Over 5000 authors contribute timely articles to Lady Pens. Today’s announcement marks the next step in our evolution. Through a partnership with the leading podcaster for the work at home community, Kelly McCausey, Lady Pens is now a multifaceted directory offering quality written articles for reprint and engaging audio content for podcasts,” explains Nicole Dean, founder and co-owner of Lady Pens. “What has always impressed me about Lady Pens is that the content is created by some of the leading online experts in the business, consumer, family and leisure categories. Adding audio to the mix is great news for small business owners and bloggers who thrive on fresh content that is tailored to their audience’s preferences,” adds partner Kelly McCausey. Content site owners and bloggers face the constant challenge of keeping their websites updated with a supply of new, relevant materials for their audiences. Without fresh content audiences wane, traffic declines and the sustainability of these businesses is threatened. For many publishers Lady Pens has become a trusted supplier of a much needed service. The addition of audio content to Lady Pens’ database positions the company for significant growth in the competitive content development marketplace. Nicole Dean is co-owner of OutsourceWeekly.com and the freelancers’ membership site, Shelancers.com. Known as the “Affiliate Marketer’s Coach,” Nicole has been helping small business owners to achieve success online since 2004. Kelly McCausey is a home-based business coach and internet marketer responsible for the popular private mentorship site for women business owners called Mom Masterminds and the ground breaking podcast, Work at Home Moms Talk Radio. Tue, 07 Oct 2008 15:39:19 +0200 Pensacola, FL, October 7, 2008 – Big companies that are closing or merging due to today’s troubling economy are letting go some of the most talented professionals from accountants to marketing specialists. Many of these individuals are taking an entrepreneurial turn offering their services as independent contractors. This is big news for small business owners who now have access to an increasing pool of expertise available on an as needed basis. To help small businesses make the best use of outside specialists, business consultant Nicole Dean recently launched OutsourceWeekly.com with internet marketing leader, Jimmy D. Brown. “Through my work I end up providing advice to a lot of women and men who are managing their own online businesses. What I see most often are talented people risking their business’ success because they are trying to do it all. They don’t realize that there is a way to outsource work and keep the flexibility and control they want, without breaking the bank,” explains Nicole Dean. -OutsourceWeekly.com is a 52-week training program that teaches business owners how to outsource many tasks within their business so they can focus on opportunities for revenue growth and sustainability. This program also offers participants access to a growing list of nationally recognized service providers in various fields. “With this service, small business owners don’t have to be human resource experts to get the right people to do the right tasks. They also don’t have to worry about the technical aspects of arranging a work agreement with an outside provider. With OutsourceWeekly.com all of those details are clearly explained through written materials and examples that are provided to subscribers,” adds Dean. Florida resident, Nicole Dean has been helping women work from home since 2004 and is a recognized expert in Online Business and Affiliate Management. I knew it wasn’t a look I could stay happy with in the long term so this past week I went theme shopping again. I’m a big fan of the Revolution Themes but I wanted to try something new. My friend @sugarrae has been tweeting quite a bit about the Thesis theme and I decided to give it a try. Speaking of the Revolution Themes, did you hear that the developer is going to stop selling these popular Wordpress themes at the end of October? It’s true - and he is selling them at a great price for the rest of the month. If you’ve been thinking about buying one or grabbing a developer’s license for the whole package, now is the time to grab it. The Thesis theme is very clean looking which I love. I have a personal preference for white space on my sites and it definitely delivers that. You may be looking at this layout and thinking that it isn’t terribly different from many free themes available and you’re right about that. The coolness of Thesis is actually found behind the scenes. When Thesis is activated you get new areas in your admin panel that let you make quick changes to your website - like changing your whole site from a three column to a two column or even a one column. You can instantly change the widths of all columns in one place and control the fonts and font sizes lickety-split. No digging into the CSS, which is surely be welcome news to those who hate facing a complicated style sheet.
I initially purchased a single use license since I was just playing with Thesis for my own blog but I quickly went back to pay for the upgrade to a developer’s license. I know that we’ll be using Thesis for clients over at FreshNets. So what do you think of the new look here? What would you like to see added to the blog? Thu, 02 Oct 2008 18:18:24 +0200 Atlanta, GA October 1, 2008 Although some people may consider “natural living” a trend that’s just catching on, for many families it is more than a trend. It’s a lifestyle. Natural living is not only about recycling and driving hybrid vehicles. Natural family living and parenting is the focus of Natural Moms Talk Radio which marks its 100th episode this week. Topics of discussion include natural childbirth, eco-friendly baby care, homeschooling and natural health. The show is broadcast via podcast and is accessible at http://naturalmomstalkradio.com/blog/ where listeners can download each episode or listen online through their web browser. The show is hosted by Carrie Lauth, a single work at home mother of four, who began Natural Moms Talk Radio in January of 2006. Lauth states “I really love what I do because I am passionate about the topics. This is quite a milestone for us considering how many podcasts or radio shows don’t make it this far. Yet here I am, with 300 plus listeners per week and still going strong. This is a very exciting time for me, my show, and my listeners.” In addition to the podcast, Natural Moms Talk Radio’s website also features articles about breastfeeding, gentle discipline, homeschooling, natural health, beauty and homemaking, and attachment parenting. In previous episodes, Lauth has interviewed well known experts in the area of natural parenting including Peggy O’Mara, owner and editor of Mothering Magazine, author Elizabeth Pantley, and Jan Hunt of The Natural Child Project. The 100th episode, available at http://naturalmomstalkradio.com/blog, will feature Jody McLaughlin of Compleat Mother magazine. Natural Moms Talk Radio is also seeking experts on natural living topics, including mothers themselves who have a story to share, for future episodes. For more information about Natural Moms Talk Radio , visit the website at http://www.naturalmomstalkradio.com/blog. Experts in natural living interested in becoming guests of the show can contact Carrie Lauth at carrie@naturalmomstalkradio.com. ### Contact: Post from: Work at Home Moms Talk Radio where you can learn to make money from home. Mon, 29 Sep 2008 17:31:59 +0200 I’m answering ‘Questions from the Mail Bag‘ today. I do get a lot of listener email and questions from my personal mailing list. Question #1: Why do you charge for teleseminar recordings (Moms Affiliate Expo) when your radio show is always free? What’s the difference? Question #2: I’ve heard you talk about personality types. I’m phlegmatic, very laid back and easy going. What kind of home business do you think I would be good at? (Recommended Book: Personality Plus) Question #3: I’m so impressed with the work you did on Aurelia William’s life coaching site. How did you learn to create graphics? Question #4: You mentioned recently that you are good friends with your VA. I’ve had trouble working with friends. How do the two of you keep things professional? By the way, Sarah provides home business coaching. Do you have a question about how to get rolling with your business?
