Copyright: © Sat, 22 Nov 2008 23:28:17 +0100 Are You Affiliate Manager Material? (Learn more about working at home as an Affiliate Manager.) Creating an affiliate program isn’t easy. But creating a successful one is even more challenging. It takes a lot of time, energy and effort. There are those that are cut out for it and those that aren’t. Even people that have natural ability to run one need to put a lot of work into developing their skill set. Think you might make a good affiliate manager? Read these five signs and see for yourself.1. You tend to be a big thinker but are also detail oriented. Big thinkers see ‘the big picture’ and that’s crucial in creating a program to drive sales. Someone that is working towards an end goal that they have in mind will make a great affiliate manager. Detail oriented people will be able to look over all the details while doing all the planning it requires to create a successful program. 2. You are familiar with the internet and know how to get around. An affiliate manager will be knowledgable and confident in maneurving their way around the internet. They will have the skills to research using the internet to find information. They will also need to at least be familiar with autoresponder programs and know how to load emails into one. A good affiliate manager will also be able to handle other internet related tasks. 3. You have great communication skills More than likely any job you’ve had in the past, offline or online have required that you communicate. There’s no way around it and a great affiliate manager will have awesome communication skills. You will need to communicate with those all across the globe. It’s imperative that an affiliate manager be able to communicate important information and get messages across. A great affiliate manager will stay up to date with the affiliates. The affiliate manager will have to be one step ahead of everyone else and know when to notify the affiliates about price changes, contests, product enhancements and contests. It’s important that an affiliate manager stay on top of things so that the affiliate doesn’t forget about promoting the program. The objective is sales and staying in touch with affiliates and contacting them on a regular basis will mean more sales in the long run. 4. You have a natural ability to motivate others. One trait that really sets a great affiliate manager apart from others is the ability to motivate others. This can be very challenging indeed. Inspiring others to work hard and push sales is a huge part of running a successful affiliate program. Some of this needs to come from within, but this is something that can be learned. 5. You have the knack for writing. Good writing skills pretty much goes hand in hand with good communication skills. Not only will you need writing skills to communicate with your affiliate, you will also need to communicate with potential customers. Part of your duty as an affiliate manager might be to create promotional materials for your affiliates to use. This could mean you will be responsible for writing anything from a blog post to something more elaborate such as a special report. Great affiliate managers are not easy to come by and are in high demand. By taking the time to invest in developing these skills you will find that in the long run it’s well worth it. Even if you are not looking to be an affiliate manager don’t think these skills aren’t worth knowing. They will help you stand out above the rest of the crowd if you plan to create your own affiliate program for yourself. Windsor, Ontario, Canada. A new website for home cooks in a hurry has been launched. MyQuickDinnerRecipes.com contains recipes that can be prepared in 30 minutes or less, as well as tips for making meals fast and easy. “I created My Quick Dinner Recipes for Moms like me who want to prepare delicious home-cooked meals but don’t want to spend all day slaving away in the kitchen,” the site’s creator, Alexis Rodrigo, says. “However, My Quick Dinner Recipes is more than just a collection of recipes,” Rodrigo adds. The site also provides practical tips to make cooking easier and faster, including:
The site offers a free newsletter that gives cooking and meal planning tips and advice exclusive to subscribers. The newsletter is authored by Rodrigo and her sister, Victoria Ado, who has a diploma in Culinary Arts and Kitchen Management from the International School for Culinary Arts and Hotel Management. “I’ve been having formal cooking and baking lessons since I was in grade school. However, not every one has that luxury. Many home cooks do not experience cooking success because of poor cooking habits or simply not knowing any better. We’d like to help bridge that gap,” Rodrigo says. MyQuickDinnerRecipes.com publishes new recipes and tips every week, and the newsletter is sent every two weeks. “It is very rewarding to have a family meal and see and hear your children and husband gushing over the food,” Rodrigo says. “The best part is knowing that it only took you a few minutes to do it.” Alexis Rodrigo is a stay at home Mom of 3 children, freelance writer and home entrepreneur based in Windsor, Ontario, Canada.
