Midwestern CD/TG with a heart... Sat, 22 Nov 2008 09:45:04 +0100 Hey folks, sorry I've been away so long and haven't posted an episode lately. It's not that life's been boring and I have nothing to talk about, quite the contrary! I haven't forgotten you and I definitely on working on some great stuff in the future!
Unfortunately, I just moved to a new apartment within the last month or so, which took a lot of time, and then on top of that, I lost my broadband connection there 11/04/08 (election night) and it still hasn't been fixed as of today (11/21). So I have sporadic internet when I can "borrow" the neighbor's wifi (when it's up) and have been fighting my apartment complex to get it fixed, which appears to be futile.
I'm currently at MFF 2008 and hope to have some audio from the con for you all to sink your teeth into.. I'm also a panelist on the Transfurs panel this year, and while I'm unfortunately unable to record that panel, I'm hoping to get a chance to interview the other panelists for you! So please, don't bail on me, I promise I'll be back ASAP (once I can figure out how to get some sort of internet back!)
Wed, 06 Aug 2008 03:06:57 +0200 Can it be? So soon on the heels of Episode 19?
Lots of little changes to note:
Podcast page now available at http://www.sabrinatalk.com
Yes I'm evil and put ads up. Suffer. Or click. Please!
Yes, that's my real voice. No more vocal processing unless folks suddenly think I need it.
Other stuff, including an announcement of a forthcoming interview, and some other not-as-pleasant stuff as well.
Enjoy!

attached file: type: audio/mpeg size: 26.48 MB here Tue, 22 Jul 2008 04:39:29 +0200 Okay.. this two part thing isn't working. I'm gonna try a format switch to see if I can get episodes out more regularly and on time.
So I'm gonna try and quit putting so much into each episode and instead maybe do a weekly smaller episode of what I've been going through each week. Think it'll make it much more manageable.
Anyways.. I recorded what was going to be the "first half" of Episode 19.. umm.. a couple of weeks ago. And then all the stuff I wanted to say for the second half got pushed back.. leaving part one to collect dust.
Well, rather than continue to wait and wait.. I figured I'd put the first half out as Episode 19, and then put out the "second half" as Episode 20 and start from there with these smaller, bite-sized episodes.
So.. umm.. enjoy!
attached file: type: audio/mpeg size: 38.42 MB here Tue, 12 Feb 2008 04:23:02 +0100 Okay.. so I'm back from New Jersey, and I've finished the show. Things have been up and down a bit. This show is interesting because I recorded the first part in January, and the second part in February! So it's sort of like a big double-ep!

Nothing special, and not the greatest show I've ever done, but it is what it is. Hope you enjoy it, and hope this harkens to future shows and getting back on that train a'rollin'.
attached file: type: audio/mpeg size: 15.7 MB here Fri, 06 Jul 2007 04:58:40 +0200 Okay.. So here's the loooooong awaited Episode 15.
No excuses on my part, except having too many commitments right now and being mentally screwed in the head. 'Course, that leads me to having crap to talk about for the next episode, I suppose..
Anyways, in this episode in the first half I get back to my audio-blogging roots and talk about me and my life and update stuff.
Second half is a surprise guest for you, let me know what you think!

attached file: type: audio/mpeg size: 30.78 MB here Fri, 13 Apr 2007 06:03:01 +0200 Just an FYI -- Be prepared, this show's sound quality
will be less than you're probably used to. The show was
recorded on my new iRiver portable mp3 player / recorder
as I made the commute home from work on two consecutive
nights this week. There's a lot of road noise, which is probably
unavoidable when recording a podcast at 75mph. Still, I think
the first half of the show has some good thoughts, and the second
half is my usual rambling on about my life and what I've been doing.
Enjoy!

It looks like Podomatic has decided to place banner ads on free users' pages now -- I received no prior notice this was going to happen. See the news below. I may have to update to a paid account sooner than expected, or I may have to find another host service for the show. News: If the show continues to grow, I will need more space to store shows and more bandwidth per month. Currently, I have used almost 1/3 of my current storage space for files, and I will already need to downsample my shows to reduce the bandwidth and storage needs. I will also be recording future shows most likly at 64kbps mono settings, again to save space and bandwidth. However, I suspect that may not be enough, and that I will have to soon upgrade to a a "pro" account. The free accounts seem to have been designed for shows much shorter in length, and I simply will need the extra storage capacity and bandwidth. The advanced statistics and options won't hurt either. If, for some reason you feel so inclined, I do have a paypal donation button on the page over to the right if you'd like to help. Sabrina Talk is a free show, and will always remain a free show, but I certainly won't turn down donations for any reason. (If you want to donate clothes, shoes, or makeup, contact me for a mailing address.. ::wink:: ) Also, I'd like to remind you that I still have the voice comment line at 206-350-CDTG (206-350-2386) and if you'd like to call and leave me a message, I'd love to hear from you! Calls may be played on the show, but if you request your call not to be aired, they won't. Also, I now have forums for you to discuss the show, give me feedback, or converse with other listeners!
