The second release of Macphunn 18yo and a Regis Whisky Mad very limited bottling of 1968 40yo Springbank - just 98 bottles are available.

The 18yo is stricly limited and so a maximum of 2 per person.

Whyte & Mackay have evidently got a new agency responsible for their on pack copywriting, either that or the chap who restrains Richard Paterson's verbiage has topped himself.

Another lavish presentation of a very inviting looking whisky from Signatory (and further evidence that Mr Syminton is colour blind)

According to Cezanne - who still does the calligraphy in Campbeltown - this is 5.5 years in a refill bourdon and 1.5 in a fresh Gaja Barolo barrel a mere 12,120 bottles so [ahem], don't delay.
Straight from the bottle it's pretty grim, let it breath for 10 minutes sudoko or something.Once settled this is definitely one for the 'silly' peaty fans, a big powerful aroma of peat and used sump oil (from a grocery van).
To taste the wine hits first then the balance spreads over the tongue revealing malt and peat, a quiet swallow and long peppery finish.

3rd of the new individual vattings by one of the industry's great noses, Sir Douglas McIvor and well up to the best of his pickings.

Like Doug this whisky has a big oily nose and a faint whiff of spent matches, beguilingly fruity and very engaging.

To taste he is well balanced, slightly hot with a fruity-acetone swallow and a long oaky finish (that last bits not like Doug).

Ace chap and ace whisky.

Also in today are some new releases from Duncan Taylor. We have a Brora, Carsebridge, Rhosdhu and a great Rarest of the Rare Blended 33yo whisky containing whiskies from long closed distilleries.

This is the latest single cask bottling by Bladnoch of Port Ellen.

if it's half as sood as their last bottling it should be a cracker.

We have just taken delivery of the new release of Black Bowmore.

This is the first of a trilogy of new bottlings with a Red and a White to follow.

From Glencadam we have an official independent bottling under the Montgomerie's label. This has recently won the Scottish Field Merchants Challenge with the 4th highest ever score.

New in today is the new standard range from Glenmorangie comprising of a new 10yo 'Original', a sherry finished 'Lasanta', port finished 'Quinta Ruban' and a Sauternes finished 'Nectar D'Or'.

New out last week was the 6th edition of Bruichladdich Links this time featuring the K Club in Ireland. We also got their fab new 18yo.
