The Butterfly Effect In Chaos Theory The Butterfly Effect states that small disturbances or stimuli in a system at early stages of its development can have drastic effects on the development and outcome of the system as it develops. The theory stems from the notion that the flapping of a butterfly's wings can eventually grow into a tornado. What does that have to do with education?

In light of the newest foray into girls fighting girls video, which is apparently more prevalent than I thought, I think that some parents need reminders about what it means to be a parent. It constantly amazes my colleagues, my friends who are parents and many of the Woods Road parents that I speak with about how much parenting has changed over the years.

We, as parents, teach our children a lot about good manners, human values, morals and ethics, social etiquette, et cetera. At school also they have subjects such as moral science and value education. But when it comes to teaching about money and finance, we generally feel that they are too young for it. However, money and finance are a part and parcel of our lives. And just as there is good and bad behaviour, there is also good and bad financial conduct. Therefore, we need to educate our children about the basics of money...
