There’s a new ringtone site in town. This one doesn’t just try to sell you ringtones either. Rather DownloadYourRingtones.net is more of an educational resource. The site has twenty-five articles on ringtones giving you all the information about getting them, and their history, that you might want to know. Actually, some of it is really interesting and important stuff such as their articles on how to improve the sound quality of your ringtones and how to delete ringtones off your mobile phone when needed.

For whatever reason, people find the way Sarah Palin talks to be hilarious. After hearing GWB stumble over words for 8 years, realizing that Obama has a tendency to say things that are just... well... stupid, and the clear signs of onset senility in the living artifact known as McCain, you'd think a dialect common to many Americans would be just barely baseline in terms of comedic value.

Apparently someone at Apple made a comment about how iTunes would close if it couldn't make a profit, citing royalty hikes to be a potential culprit for causing that scenario. I would actually look forward to iTunes folding up. I buy my music elsewhere since I like to be able to listen to it on whatever device I choose (buy a music CD for $15, rip all the songs to my computer, have a hard copy and a digital copy with no DRM for roughly the same cost). DRM is a punishment for legitimate customers and a minor hinderance for pirates. If you're going to download music illegally you're not going through iTunes to do it--and it's a pretty safe bet that if you're paying for your music through iTunes you're not going to turn around and give it to everyone for free.

A few months ago people were still under the impression that the Google phone, a phone based on a technology stack named "Android" based on the Linux kernel, was nothing more than a pipe dream. The reality has finally come, and the first Android based phone is being brought to T-mobile while T-Mobile simultaneously launches their new 3G network. T-Mobile was the last of the "Top Tier" US carriers still offering "EDGE" internet as its only "high speed" mobile internet service. (If you have a phone with EDGE you already know that the term "high speed" belongs no where near it.)

Just a quick update on a topic covered earlier: the condom ringtone. Apparently the condom ringtone, which can be found at condomcondom.org, has gotten over 270,000 downloads. Thats a huge number of downloads for such a ridiculous ringtone. If you check out the site you'll notice that the sound is barely comprehensible and therefore only going to make a mild impression of the people around you when your phone rings. (Or it could be that its hard for me to understand because English is my first language and I don't speak any Indian at all and the accent makes it less effective to my ears)

Not content with bleeding its loyal, paying fanbase dry with a monthly subscription to a game that seems to keep players going in an infinite loop of finding the best items just in time for the next update to include a more powerful set that will promise to take even longer to get than the last, blizzard is now selling ringtones and mobile wallpapers.
So last time it was the "bust enhancing" ringtone, now its the "break down societal walls regarding the use of contraceptives" ringtone.

I just read about boobtones.com, and I'm just not sure what to do. What could I possibly say about this that you aren't already thinking?

People in the music industry can be rather impressive. The ability for someone to grab onto an artistic outlet, master various skills that go along with it, and then use that to compose beautiful sounds is just thoroughly impressive. When you take those skills and use them to blast off into stardom during your work with, let's say, The Police, no one is going to doubt your prowess.

A few new tools are out for iPhone users that want customized ringtones on their cell phones. A couple of new programs, iToner by Ambrosia Software, and RingtoneStudio by PocketMac, will allow users to choose what songs they want to hear when the phone rings.
