A HOW - or Home Owner's Warranty - will take the guesswork out of one of the most glaring obstacles to selling or buying a used home - appliance age and functionality. A HOW will give the Buyer peace of mind for one year (and it can be extended) as to the cost of repairing or replacing major appliances, heating and AC systems, dishwashers, and so on (varies by provider). Certain HOWs even allow the Seller protection while the home is listed, but ALL protect the Seller from nuisance lawsuits and aggravation because of post-sale appliance failure.
