From Wednesday 16th April, the 8GB iPhone will be reduced to £169, saving £100. Available from O2 and The Carphone Warehouse. With price cuts and iPhone stock reportedly running low and not being replenished, speculation is mounting about the release of a 3G iPhone. Is now a good time to buy? Or should you wait for the 3G version, which is likely to be more expensive?
The new price combined with iPhone’s revised tariffs means that the iPhone is now reasonably good value for money. For £35 per month customers get 600 minutes and 500 texts. Two other tariffs are available with 1200 minutes and 500 texts for £45 or 3000 minutes and 500 texts for £75. All tariffs are subject to an 18 month contract and include unlimited data and Wi-Fi.
Have you recently bought an iPhone from The Carphone Warehouse? Their Ultimate Price Promise means those who purchased an iPhone from The Carphone Warehouse in the last 30 days will automatically receive £100. Carphone will send customers a credit voucher for the difference.
Did you know that activation of iPhone and connection to the O2 network is different from any other device in the mobile market? Once you’ve got your iPhone, you have to enter into an 18 month pay monthly contract with O2 and registration is done online via the itunes web site. You need to be over 18, pass a credit check and have a bank account for the monthly direct debits.
