Some sad news for some of us in the online bingo community:  soul legend Isaac Hayes died over the weekend.  He was 65.

A family member was reported to have found him near a running treadmill – Isaac Hayes always said he was a health fanatic.

Hayes rode to fame with the hit movie theme Shaft in 1971 (for all those who play bingo online and remember this, I’ll not let on how old that makes you).  He went of to become a fixture on the soul scene during the 1970s and eventually became the voice of Chef on the hit animated TV show South Park.

The cause of his death has not yet been released.

Foxy Bingo celebrity and glamour model Jordan, also known as Katie Price, spent her childhood surrounded by horses and has been riding since she was just seven years old. In recent months she's dusted off her riding habit and has become ever more involved in horse-riding, competing in a charity Polo match last month. She's also been invited to the Horse of the Year show in Birmingham this October, to take a masterclass in dressage.

In a Times editorial today, Jordan said she'd paid £6,000 for a table at the Cartier International annual polo event at Windsor, but was told she wasn't welcome as she wasn't the 'type' they wanted.

Jordan said that she was excluded from the event as a result of pure snobbery - and we tend to agree with her. This cool Foxy Bingo girl has a heart of gold and has proved herself as a horsewoman in her own right!

"I've met the Prince of Wales and the Queen before. I don't need to be photographed with the A-list, I've met quite enough celebrities. I wanted to watch the matches and give my family a treat."

People magazine and Hello! Magazine are reported to have jointly been given the rights to the photos of Angelina and Brad’s twins, Vivienne Marcheline and Knox Leon.  For $14 million these two magazines have purchased what must now be the most expensive celebrity pictures ever sold.

But are the kids cute?  By that reckoning they would have to be more than doubly cute Jennifer Lopez’s twins since she only got $6 million from People magazine.

The $14 million will apparently be forwarded to a foundation created by Branjelina that focuses on helping children around the world.

So it seems Angelina Jolie could be up for the Catwoman role. Even though a script has not been written yet to cash in on the current Batman blockbuster, speculation abounds in Hollywood as to who will be tapped to play whatever Batman villain pops up in the third movie.  But the real question should be: How about Angelina Jolie to play online bingo?  Er,... Okay...

Jolie has received a ringing endorsement as the possible and only real choice for the Catwoman role from none other than former Catwoman Julie Newmar who played the feline fiend in the camp 1960s Batman TV series.

 “Angelina would own the part. My industry friends tell me she has already made enquiries about the role. I can understand how it would pique her interest. Catwoman is Batman’s one true love.”

Newmar added about the Catwoman character: “She’s tremendously popular with women because she’s both a heroine and a villainess.”

TV personality and online bingo celebrity Kerry Katona has settled for a substantial amount of damages after she sued MGN Ltd over a story that she once worked as a prostitute.

People who play online bingo know Katona as the front person for a popular online bingo hall as much as for her role in pop band Atomic Kitten.

The amount awarded to Katona remains undisclosed but it is believed to be a five-figure sum and reimbursement of her legal costs.

The libel case was brought after it was claimed that Katona's mother would be publishing an autobiography that would contain claims Katona had worked as a prostitute.

Katona’s lawyer said in a statement: "The truth is that Sue Katona has never alleged that the claimant worked as a prostitute in the book or at any other time and such an allegation would be entirely untrue. Moreover, Sue Katona has not to date written an autobiography nor does she have a publishing agreement to publish such a book."

It seems years since this happened (about four actually), but Janet Jackson’s naughty boob is to escape paying a fine.  Online bingo players may remember that poor ol’ Janet’s nipple initially escaped during a performance at a Superbowl,… and America has never been the same since.  Now, and tons of legal fees latter, it has been ruled that no fine will have to be paid by the owner of that nipple for that Superbowl Day in Infamy...

As for those who have not escaped the long arm of the law, take time out to consider the merits of the defense the husband of Amy Winehouse put up as to why he should not go to jail.

Thoughtful Blake Fielder-Civil (Amy’s hubby) has argued that it would be best if he were set free so he could be a positive influence on his wayward and very troubled wife.  

In a statement to the judge through his lawyer, Blakey claimed: ‘He can now see that hard drugs are to be regarded as nothing other than a smiling assassin. He wishes now to become a role model for Miss Winehouse but he knows it would be impossible for her to alienate herself from drugs if he continues to befriend them.’

The judge gave him the maximum 27 months – no online bingo games for you Blakey Boy!

Famous online bingo celebrity Sharon Osbourne, is not a lady you want to mess with - her claws come out sharp and dirty - especially when family honour is at stake. However, it pays to know who you’re clawing – especially if that someone has no compunctions against clawing you back!

The latest target of her scathing venom is Australian comedian, Jim Jeffries, who met her daughter Kelly at an award ceremony in April. Jeffries apparently cracked a joke at Kelly saying she wasn't as good looking as model Agyness Deyn, also present at the awards ceremony. Kelly, not known for her sense of humour, came back with a mouthful of expletives and ended up spitting in the poor man's face - obviously going by the golden rule of: don't say it, spray it!

Bingo celeb Sharon wasn't too happy when she found out about the joke, and apparently fired off an email to the comic to the tune of:

"Dear Nobody. Wait until you're a celebrity before you criticise REAL celebrities. Why don't you f*** off!"

Oh Sharon, come on! Showbiz rules say that you should never mess with a comedian as they tend to bite back, which is exactly what he did in his reply:

"Dear Sharon, After you had all that plastic surgery and had the fat sucked out of your thights, why did you pump it into your daughter's face?"

LOL - what can I say? I think it's funny! Don't bite off more than you can chew!

Jim Jeffries revealed the details of his fiery exchange with the Osbourne women at a comedy show in London earlier this week, and will be appearing at the Edinburgh Festival next month.

Men should say no to speedos!  Especially when the speedos in question belong to your girlfriend, even if she is Jenny McCarthy.  Just what was Jim Carrey thinking when he stepped out onto the beach wearing his gal’s swimwear in front of a bunch of photographers?  That Jim Carrey,… he’s sooo crazy!  Hahaha!  What a guy!  Wouldn’t you love to have Jim Carrey on your online bingo team?

It’s all about rich celebrity gossip targets telling us what it’s like to be them.  People like Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, Tori Spelling,... and Denise Richards, as well as Paris Hilton who dreamed up the reality show after being inspired by other celebrity reality shows.  The sheer genius of it!

You will get to watch a group of spoiled celebs moan about all that attention they get from tabloids and paparazzi. After listening to them, Paris reasons you will undoubtedly have more compassion and respect for them.  Your own problems will be put into perspective.  Paris Hilton has found the perfect way to redeem herself and all her celeb friends in one fell swoop!  Because she’s so in touch with reality!
