This site went 'live' in July 2006. The site includes a range of material covering financial modelling/risk management/portfolio analysis, and also distributed computing, parallel processing and other areas of technology. There is a range of software applications and demonstrations, a substantial quantity of documentation and a number of on-line presentations. Access is currently restricted while we resolve a number of remaining non-technical issues.

We are based in Barley Village (near Royston) in rural North Hertfordshire (UK), which was mentioned in the Domesday Book. Barley is approximately 10 miles South of Cambridge and 50 miles north of London, and is close to the villages of Barkway and Great Chishill.

Our web site and rss feed have been set up, and are maintained by Dr Andrew Gray; who can be contacted in the event of any queries.

Version 2.0.0 (Beta) of our 'Stibium' naming server has now been released. Access to this area of our web-site is currently password protected; in order to access the software you will need to register and have access rights.

Version 3.0.0 (Beta) of the Stibium Naming server has now been released. This release includes a revised xml storage schema, improved support for attribute storage and directory services, and additional test suites and documentation. The Stibium pages on this website have also been updated.

Version 2.4.0 of the RCRT XML-Space has been released. This provides xml-oriented Javaspace-like parallel processing capabilities, to support a range of distributed and parallel processing applications.

We have now added some pictures of Barley to the 'Barley Village' page of the site.

We have now made our on-line 'static data' tools publicly accessible. This area includes utilities for looking up and/or checking country codes, currency codes and sector codes.

We have now made our on-line demonstration credit portfolio model publicly accessible. This model runs its calculations within a client browser, and then displays graphs of portfolio loss distributions for the input parameters entered by the user. This model enables the user to visualise the effect of changing these parameters on the shape of the loss distribution.

Version 3.0.0 of the Stibium Naming server has now been released.

We have made the 'GAVONTS' pages on our web site publicly accessible. GAVONTS - Genetic Algorithm Vector Optimised Nonlinear Transformations - is a technology which uses virtual-world evolution and natural selection to model complex mathematical problems. We have included an example in which this technology has been used to create a control system algorithm for a spacecraft lander, without any human input or guidance.

Version 1.0.0 of 'DoorSynch' has now been released. DoorSynch is a security application that enables ACTAtek door access control units to be synchronized with a Janus security system database.

Version 3.1.0 of 'Stibium' has now been released. This includes features that enable Stibium to run under Tomcat when Tomcat is running as a Windows Service.

Our GAVONTS technology now has its own dedicated web site. GAVONTS - Genetic Algorithm Vector Optimised Nonlinear Transformations - is our technique for modelling complex non-linear problems using solutions that evolve in a virtual reality xml solution-space.

The 'Stibium' Naming and Directory Server is now also available from ComponentSource.

This application enables the user-sets of ACTAtek door control units to be synchronized with external data sources/systems on demand. The data sources that are currently supported include: Janus systems, SQL Server 2005 databases, MySQL databases, MS-Access databases, MS Excel spreadsheets and CSV files.

Version 1.1 of the 'DoorOpen' Windows application has been released. This application enables doors that are managed by ACTAtek units to be opened remotely, and also enables any associated network cameras to be viewed.

Version 1.0 of the 'DoorSynch' Windows service has been released. This is a Windows service which enables the user-sets of ACTAtek door control units to be automatically synchronized with external data sources/systems at regular intervals. The data sources that are currently supported include: Janus systems, SQL Server 2005 databases, MySQL databases, MS-Access databases, MS Excel spreadsheets and CSV files. This software package also includes a management application for configuring the service.

Version 3.2.0 of the 'Stibium' naming and directory server has now been released. This release includes an updated version of the Stibium .Net client library, which enables Stibium to be used by .Net software clients. There is also a set of NUnit test suites for the .Net client library. This version also includes a number of other enhancements, including the ability to configure the Stibium namespace's naming syntax.
